Just as wayfinders never relied on a single star, educators should look beyond a single assessment score to understand school performance. This session explores the Accountability Section's tools and supports, including the Strive HI Dashboard, Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) Workbook, exemption/appeals process, evaluation/data support, and illustrates how these resources help schools make sense of data, identify meaningful trends, and make informed decisions that lead to improved student outcomes.

This session explores practical ways to acknowledge emotions around testing and to embed schoolwide social-emotional learning (SEL) and mindfulness strategies throughout the statewide testing season. The State Assessment Section will highlight key state resources for managing test anxiety before local school leaders showcase the real-world, schoolwide strategies they use to ease student stress, build resilience, and foster a supportive campus climate. An interactive Q&A will follow, offering an opportunity for schools to ask questions and learn more about SEL and testing.
