This session provides an overview of the Hawaiʻi State Alternate Assessment (HSA-Alt), designed to support educators and school teams in administering the assessment with confidence. We'll review the federal 1% rule and what it means for eligibility, walk through the participation identification guidelines to help teams determine which students qualify for HSA-Alt, and break down the structure of the test. We'll also share practical tips for testing and point participants toward key resources to support preparation and administration throughout the year.
