2026 HSAP Virtual Assessment Conference
Tuesday September 15, 2026 2:30pm - 3:15pm HST

This session offers a practical map for efforts to build balanced assessment systems. We'll start with the process for conducting an assessment inventory, taking stock of what's being assessed and why. From there, we'll introduce assessment preview and analysis protocols that help educators internalize an assessment before administering it and navigate the data together afterward. We'll explore a balanced assessment system framework as a compass for aligning formative, interim, and summative assessments. Finally, we'll surface key strategies for success by sharing stories from across our state. We'll close by discussing current initiatives and upcoming opportunities to partner with the Assessment Section.
